Education:

  • March 2000: Degree 110/110 in foreign languages with a major in linguistics (laurea in lingue e letterature straniere, indirizzo linguistico-glottodidattico) at the University of Trento.
    Thesis (in Italian): English Monolingual Learners' Dictionaries: Structure and Use (Abstract in English)

Work Experience:

  • May - July 2000: Research Assistant at EURAC, working on ELDIT (a basic electronic learners' dictionary for Italian and German).
  • August 2000 - July 2003: Research Assistant at the TCC Division, ITC-irst.
  • July 2003 - present: Junior Researcher at the TCC Division, ITC-irst.

Projects:

  • SI-TAL Integrated System for the Automatic Treatment of Language, an Italian National Project aiming at the creation of large linguistic resources for natural language processing systems.
  • EDAMOK Enabling Distributed and Autonomous Management of Knowledge, a project aiming at the implementation of a context-based distributed system for information retrieval (NLP Techniques for DKM project line).
  • ONTOTEXT From Text to Knowledge for the Semantic Web.
