In 2000 he received his degree in Philosophy of Language from the University of Turin, Italy. Since 2000 he has been working as researcher in the FBK - Fondazione Bruno Kessler, (former ITC-irst - Center for Scientific and Technological Research) in the Cognitive and Communication Technologies division (TCC). His research interests cover different areas of Natural Language Processing including Question Answering, Information Retrieval, Information Extraction, and Named Entities Recognition. He is now involved in the EU-funded Project QALL-ME, focusing on multilingual and multimodal Question Answering over mobile devices.
